Dad Wants To Divorce Wife Because She Had Second Baby
- A guy took to Reddit to ask whether it’s okay to divorce his wife for having their second baby
- He says after their first kid he made it known he didn’t want any more, but she had a second kid anyway
- He says he can’t stop resenting her for it, and now is considering a divorce
- Folks basically blasted him, telling him he could have prevented the second kid himself, although a few people did support him
There are a lot of reasons why couples get divorced, but one guy is being raked over the coals for taking to Reddit to ask whether it’s okay to divorce his wife for having their second baby.
The guy explains that after he and his wife had their first kid he realized he didn’t like being a father and told his wife that he didn’t want any more kids. Well, his wife wound up getting pregnant again and at first they were going to terminate the pregnancy, but he says, “she guilted me into canceling the appointment.”
"Now, 2 years on after the birth of our second, I still resent my wife," he wrote. "Am I the a**hole for wanting to divorce my wife for the birth of our second child?"
- As you can imagine, most people say, "YES." After all, if he really didn’t want any more kids, he could've gotten a vasectomy. Others noted he needed to “step up” and take responsibility for his own actions, with one person adding, “these kids deserve a father that can take some damn responsibility.”
- There were a few people who sided with the dad, with one suggesting the wife ignored his wishes, so it's okay, while another suggested the issue isn’t whether he’s getting the divorce because of the kid, or because he’s fallen out of love, which is a totally okay reason to end things.
