Netflix, Bird Box & Sandra Bullock Kicking Box Office BUTT

Wow - ok I just watched Bird Box on Netflix. Based on the book, the ending is slightly different than the book. All in all pretty true to the characters. The book is definitely scary due to "theater of the mind" ...but I have to say, GREAT JOB on the film. I'm not sure why critics are not liking it? People seem to be enjoying it and the cast is great. Sandra Bullock does a great job and and the kids are really great. I can't say it was the best movie I ever saw, but I can say it entertained me and that it was definitely fun to watch and gave me the creeps more than once! Also worth mentioning: Netflix said 45 million subscriber accounts worldwide watched the Sandra Bullock thriller “Bird Box” during its first seven days on the service, the biggest first-week success of any movie made for the company’s nearly 12-year-old streaming service.I do find it a sad state of our society ad times that Netflix had to issue an actual statement and warning NOT TO TAKE or DO the Bid Box Challenge, which has idiots doing things blindfolded...are we really that stupid people??? SMH ANYWAY, all in all - I loved the movie and if you just want a good old fashioned suspense/thriller/horror movie this will do the trick!

Sandra Bullock Couldn't Do The #BirdBoxChallenge

  • Netflix issued a warning about the #BirdBoxChallenge.
  • Apparently Sandra Bullock couldn’t master it, either.
  • According to director Susanne Bier, she bumped into the camera during filming.

Remember that #BirdBoxChallenge we told you about? Don’t feel too bad if you couldn’t master it. Sandra Bullock – the movie’s star – couldn’t do it, either!

“We did have Sandy hitting the camera,” director Susanne Bier said. “The camera was sort of moving and she was moving, and we had such a great operator who most of the time had this weird dance with her where she was blindfolded and they were both moving around each other. And one time he just got too close.”

To review, the Netflix film involves people forced to go through life with their eyes covered to avoid seeing mysterious forces that have them turn into homicidal maniacs before committing suicide. The streaming service had to issue a warning to keep people from blindfolding themselves and doing things.
