A dad in Florida was left shocked by the twin dolls he ordered for his daughter, but the Internet was even more shocked that he was making such a big deal over it.
Raynell Miller shared a picture of the doll set on Facebook, noting that he couldn’t believe that the boy and girl dolls came with private parts, a vagina with the girl doll and a penis on the boy. “So I bust open this box of twin dolls I ordered online for my baby and Lawd have mercy,” he writes. “Is this is what the world comes too now? Making dolls with the actual private parts for children?” He notes, “Granted, the girl doll would have been fine since she has that part but my lil girl ain’t ready to be playing with dolls who has their d**** out.”
Raynell is now returning the dolls, and while he probably expected to get a lot of sympathy and outrage from folks on social media, that’s not what he got. The post has now been shared over 7,000 times with many questioning why Ryanell has such a problem with the dolls.
- One person noted, “Oh no, my child could possibly gain an education due to these anatomically correct dolls, the HORROR,” while another added, “This is the problem, we think backwards.... It's OK to lie to them about Easter bunnies and Santa, but the human body we lie to them about, really?” Meanwhile, another person noted that kids have probably seen their parents naked so it isn’t such a big deal, with one commenter suggesting he could have used the dolls as a “teaching and learning experience.” Check out a photo of the dolls here.
