  • The squirrel hides nuts around the house and in her hair
  • She brings little Horatio around everywhere with her

A woman from England rescued a squirrel she found injured after possibly being hit by a car. She meant to let the little guy go after he recovered, but she says he quickly “imprinted” and would come back even when she would try. So, now she keeps him as a pet.

The thing is, little Horatio is still a squirrel, so he does squirrel-ish things… like hiding nuts. While Mandy McKenna watches TV, she says Horatio will “sit on the back of the sofa and hide nuts in my hair.” When he’s not keeping his stash in her hair-do, he’ll hide the nuts around the house instead.

But even with his squirrely habits, the two are practically inseparable. McKenna says that she brings Horatio around everywhere with her, whether she’s going to the store or to her friend’s house. She even has a little handbag to carry him around in, which doubles as a place to snooze while they’re out and about. “He is so funny, it’s impossible not to laugh when you are with him,” she adds.
