This Could Be The Busiest Thanksgiving Air Travel Season On Record
If your Thanksgiving plans aren’t set in stone yet and you have some distance to travel, you’ll need to get to it. Something to keep in mind is that holiday patterns have changed recently. People are heading out a week early to see family and friends, not the day before as we have done for decades.
That’s why the TSA has come out with an advisory that strongly nudges us into thinking the week leading up to the holiday could be the busiest ever. Air travel alone jumped last year and is expected to be up by seven-percent this year. Be prepared for long security lines and delays. The busiest travel days next week will be Tuesday and Wednesday with the Sunday after Turkey Day being a possible record breaker.
To give you an idea of how jam packed the airways will be, the TSA is sharing the top 10 busiest flying days ever by passengers screened.
