GOOD NEWS: Best Manicure EVER!

A Walmart cashier in Burton, Michigan saw a customer get turned away from the store’s nail salon, so she stepped up and took matters into her own hands. Tasia Smith, who works inside a Subway restaurant located inside the Walmart, spotted cashier Ebony Harris skipping her break to paint customer Angela Peters’ nails. Smith snapped a photo of the touching scene that’s since gone viral.

Harris says she watched the nail salon refuse to do Peters’ nails because her hands shake a lot due to her cerebral palsy. So she offered to do the manicure instead. The two women picked out polish and Harris got to work in the seating area at Subway.

The kind-hearted cashier has no qualms with the nail salon, but hopes her actions inspire others to treat people with disabilities the same way they’d want to be treated themselves. Harris hopes their story helps “spread awareness that no matter the person, who they are, what color they are, disability, whatever, they’re people too.”
