Peter Strzok ‘Escorted’ Out Of FBI Headquarters

FBI Building

Peter Strzok, the FBI agent who is at the center of a controversy involving a series of anti-Trump text messages that he exchanged with FBI lawyer Lisa Page, was escorted out of the FBI's headquarters in Washington D.C. amid an internal review.

Strzok's attorney Aitan Goelman issued a statement confirming that he was "escorted from the building as part of the ongoing internal proceedings."

Goelman said that his client "has steadfastly played by the rules and respected the process, and yet he continues to be the target of unfounded personal attacks, political games, and inappropriate information leaks."

He then called into question the "impartiality of the disciplinary process, which now appears tainted by political influence," adding that "politicians should allow the disciplinary process to play out free from political pressure."
