With One Hand Shaquem Griffin Makes The NFL!

Shaquem Griffin has been one of the best stories of the NFL Draft, and it managed to get even better on Saturday.

Griffin lost his left hand at the age of four due to a medical condition, but that didn’t stop him from becoming the AAC Defensive Player of the Year and one of the breakout stars of the NFL Combine after initially not even receiving an invite.

He was widely expected to be selected on day three and he did—but only after a slide that was precipitated by the fact that his unbelievable time of 4.38 time in the 40-yard dash was just that.

Not to be believed.

Turns out that number was reportedly incorrect, as the clock started a touch late on Griffin’s 40 run, and his time was closer to 4.58.

And while that may be why he fell out of the Top 100, he fell right into the place he belongs.

With his twin brother Shaquill in Seattle…after the Seahawks took him with their fifth-round pick.

Of course, given this scene at the Griffin house.…you would think he went with the Number 1 pick.

Oh and if you haven’t seen this video yet, entitled “I am Shaquem Griffin,” take three minutes to have yourself an inspiring cry. https://www.seahawks.com/video/nfl-360-i-am-shaquem-griffin
