Lori Blackburn, Community Outreach and Development Coordinator, and Executive Director Nadine Thomas of The Underground New England joins us live from the Travelers Championship to highlight their mission to support survivors of human trafficking. Through mentorship and long-term advocacy, their organization helps individuals navigate a path toward independence and healing. The Underground creates a safe, supportive community where survivors are empowered to reclaim their voice, find employment, secure housing, and regain control of their lives.
The organization not only provides direct support but also works to raise awareness and educate the public about how traffickers exploit vulnerabilities. They shared how difficult it can be for victims to break free due to psychological ties and manipulation, underscoring the importance of continued support and understanding.
