Peaceful Pixie arrived at CHS in early August. Transitioning from a home into a shelter was tough for Pixie at first, but with the patience and expertise of the behavior team, Pixie slowly adjusted and began to trust the humans who were taking such great care of her.
The behavior team took the time to give Pixie a space of her very own in the adoption hallway. Every day a member of the behavior team or adoption care team would spend time with Pixie. They would spend time petting her and talking to her. While she was quiet and reserved at first, she eventually leaned into the pets and all the love the pawsome team had to offer.
Now one-year-old Pixie is ready for a home of her very own in time for the holidays!
While she has not had much experience with dogs, she may be willing to share her home with a cat-savvy canine. She will do best in a cat-free home. She will do well in a home with adults.
Pixie will thrive in a serene and reserved environment, as she is a quiet and reserved kitty. She does have some special needs but still has lots of life to live and love to give. The wonderful adoption counselors will be happy to explain when you come to visit Pixie.
If you're interested in bringing home a calm and loving new family member, Pixie is available in Newington.
