Meet the Connecticut Humane Society's adoptable pet of the week: Laurelie!
Ten-year-old Laurelie was brought to CHS at the end of July and was in need of some tender love and support. Laurelie needed dental work and behavior support. Laurelie didn't love other dogs initially, and while she still prefers to keep her distance, the behavior team was able to figure out how to reduce her stress and will make sure she can continue her positive reinforcement training at home. Thanks to the pawsome, dedicated, and loving medical and behavior teams, Laurelie is ready to shine in your home!
Lovable Laurelie will do well in a home where she can be the only dog! She loves attention and having your love all to herself. While she has not had much experience with cats, she may be willing to share her home with a feline friend.
While she has her moments of calm she will do well in a home where she can exercise daily. She is an excellent dog with lots of potential and will love a family with experience owning a dog.
If Laurelie is the one for you, she is available in Waterford. In order to best serve pets in CHS' care and to efficiently serve the community, the Waterford and Westport locations are operating on an appointment-only schedule and adoptions for pets at these locations will begin online via online application.
