The 2nd Annual Butler Family Foundation Golf Tournament is September 30th

We spoke with Tom Butler, Owner of Butler Equipment, LLC, and Chris Palmer, Operations Manager, about the 2nd Annual Butler Family Foundation Golf Tournament taking place at the Stanley Golf Course on Monday, September 30th. This event offers participants the opportunity to enjoy a challenging round of golf while supporting the foundation’s charitable endeavors and giving back to the community.

In addition to playing on an exciting course, attendees will have a chance to win numerous prizes throughout the tournament. Notably, several Hole in One and Closest-to-the-Pin prizes have been added this year. If your team manages to hit their shot closest to the pin, everyone on that team will receive a prize.

This combination of friendly competition and philanthropy makes for an enjoyable day out on the green with friends or colleagues. By participating in this golf tournament, you can support The Butler Family Foundation’s mission while having fun and potentially winning some fantastic rewards!

The Butler Family Foundation was founded in memory of William Nelson Butler, affectionately known as "Big Bill". Big Bill began his entrepreneurial journey while working his way through college and went on to create and develop various businesses with a connection to agriculture. With a business degree in hand, he purchased a nursery in West Hartford and expanded into a floral shop and a retail repair business. The foundation continues his legacy, supporting charitable causes that were close to his heart.

Donations benefit The Village of Families and Children, the Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Fund, the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at UConn Health and the William “Big Bill” Butler Memorial Entrepreneurial Scholarship.
