Renee's Adoptables: Meet Penny!

Meet Penny!

Patient Penny is looking for her forever family and she will leave no stone unturned until she finds what she knows will be the greatest love of all. She is female, Chihuahua mix, weighing 14 pounds and approximately 4+ years old. Penny certainly has a zest for living life to the fullest.

Penny's eye sight is compromised. She does have a reasonable level of vision yet its hard to determine exactly how much. Penny has gained a lot of confidence navigating the fosters apartment and the world in general. She loves her outdoor time and being free and outside is her favorite thing

Our girl Penny is a delightful playtime companion. In her foster home, she has fallen into a rhythm and Penny is so much fun to have around. Spunky, adventurous and curious with a cuddly side. She enjoys playing with toys, so an abundance of toys will entertain her and keep her content. She has not had the opportunity to be introduced to a cat since coming into rescue.

She is working on her crate and leash training and putting in her best effort to accomplish her skills. Penny is proud to have learned her house training and will gladly show her new family exactly how it is done.

Our Penny is sure to come into good luck by finding the family of her dreams. Her family will cherish their good luck in finding Penny and having her love in their lives. Do not keep her waiting and apply to adopt Penny today!

The adoption fee for Penny is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.

About Dog Star Rescue

Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date we’ve placed over 4,000 dogs with new families.

All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. If you ask our volunteers, they’ll tell you they do it for a wide variety of reasons, including personal satisfaction in helping address a nationwide problem, their love of dogs, and a desire to have fun socializing with like-minded people. Dog Star is always looking for new volunteers to join our group, so if you would like to be a part of our organization, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities page.
