First Night Hartford
First Night Hartford is back for 2022 with in-person and live broadcast fun. On Friday, December 31, 2021 from 2 p.m. to midnight, an art walk scavenger-hunt leads you through a series of intentions to set the tone for the new year. Several of Downtown Hartford’s arts and culture hotspots as well as reimagined vacant spaces host activities ranging from live music performances, dance, comedy, improv, theater, face painting, crafts, and more.

Ski Sundown First Night
Celebrate First Night 2022 with us and ski in the New Year at Ski Sundown, CT! Lifts and trails will be open from 8:00am – 11:30pm. Also, all night lift tickets will be extended from 10:00pm to 11:30pm for no extra charge! A torchlight parade will be performed by our Ski Patrol a few minutes before the clock strikes midnight (weather permitting).
Customers with a Ski Sundown lift ticket or pass are welcome to participate in the parade or watch it unfold from the base area! Skiers and snowboarders who would like to be in the parade are required to register in advance and to join the practice session on the hill at 8:50pm. Registration will be held at the Welcome Center.

Mystic Seaport Museum
Looking for a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration to ring in 2022? Visit Mystic Seaport Museum on December 31, check out the newest exhibits, and enjoy live music by Steve Elci & Friends at 2:30 p.m. on the Benet Deck. (Children’s music that’s not just for kids!) Steve Elci & Friends interact with their audiences through original songs, educational messages and fun creative dance steps. Kids can make their own party hats and play a scavenger hunt. Instead of waiting until midnight to celebrate, we’ll ring in the new year at 3 p.m. with noisemakers, sparklers, a countdown, and confetti canons on the McGraw Quad!
All events are included with Museum admission.
