Flu season is just around the corner...here's where to get your flu shot:
Flu activity was low during the 2020-21 flu season in the U.S. and globally. The low activity may have been due to flu vaccination efforts and COVID-19 prevention actions recommending the wearing of face masks, hand washing, physically distancing and reduced travel. We know that seasonal influenza activity will begin increasing in the coming weeks and months as fall begins.
The CT Department of Public Health (DPH) will partner with Local Health Departments to provide a list of flu clinics around the state. DPH strongly recommends that persons 6 months of age and older get a flu shot. Several local health departments and districts plan to offer vaccinations to children and adults.
