Protecting your immune system
It’s important to do maintain a healthy immune system year-round, not just in the cold months when we typically see increases in colds and flus.
What can you do to protect your immune system?
- Get adequate sleep. Those who sleep fewer than 6 hours each night, are more likely to come down with a cold!
- Increase your amount of fruits and vegetables in your diet to help maintain a healthy weight.
- Summer is almost here which means a lot of local produce soon!
- Stay hydrated! Bring water with you when you’re outside in the heat to replace what you sweat out!
- Get into a good workout routine. Moderate exercise up to 150 minutes a week is ideal.
