WOW! We really do love our wings!! I mean its a GIVEN that we're gonna consume an insane amount of chicken meat a week from Sunday during the BIG GAME, but I didn't realize HOW MUCH we'll be shoving in our face!
According to the NATIONAL CHICKEN COUNCIL (yes that's a REAL THING apparently), Americans will consume an insane amount of chicken meat a week from Sunday...like 1.42 BILLION! That's enough to wrap around the world...3 times!
- When it comes to how they like their wings:
- Though they may be more difficult to eat, Americans (53%) prefer traditional bone-in wings to boneless ones.
- When it comes to sauces, barbecue is the top pick (52%), followed by ranch (46%) and buffalo/hot sauce (41%).
- While celery may be served with wings, more folks prefer French fries on the side (72%), than the crunchy vegetable (14%)
