Plenty of couples hire a professional photographer to document their engagements and weddings, but what about their breakups? We don’t see many of those, but one former couple decided to celebrate their divorce in a playful photo shoot and they look pretty happy in the pictures.
A lot of exes can’t stand to be near each other, but not Shalena Casanovaand her now-ex husband. The previous Mr and Mrs posed for photos with huge smiles on their faces, with her down on one knee, mimicking a proposal, and holding a sign that reads, “Will you divorce me?” And her ex is standing next to her, grinning ear to ear and looking at her with a sign that reads, “Yes!”
The lighthearted images were initially shared in a Facebook post, which is no longer public. “We are by no means condoning divorce,” Casanova wrote at the time. “However, we are not ashamed to celebrate the end for our marriage.” She explains that they plan to stay in each other’s lives as co-parents and that they believe their split is what’s best for their kids.
