The end is near for “The Walking Dead.” The show is coming to an end in 2022 with an expanded 11th season. As AMC did with “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad,” the final season will run over two years with a total of 24 episodes.
While the original zombie apocalypse series is ending, you’ll be glad to know that a spin-off is already in the works. The currently untitled show will feature fan-favorites Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride in their roles as Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier. It’s set to premiere in 2023.
And as previously announced, the COVID-delayed season 10 finale is airing as a special episode on October 4th, with 10 additional episodes to air in 2021 for the current cycle.
