What is Susan B. Anthony Project?

The agency provides confidential and free services including a 24-hour crisis line, 1:1 peer counseling, emergency shelter, support groups, and medical & legal advocacy for victims. Transitional housing offers extended services to previously sheltered families creating a place to live without abuse while helping to achieve autonomy and work toward long-term goals.

Community Education programs are offered to school students in grades K-12 and beyond and to children in summer camp. These programs address age appropriate issues of personal safety, teasing and bullying, conflict resolution, healthy relationships, dating violence, sexual harassment and assault. Through presentations in schools, to civic groups, healthcare, police and other professionals, the agency seeks to build understanding of the scope of abuse and its impact/costs to individual women, children and society.

What is Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®?

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® is an international men’s march where men and boys lead the way on the road to end sexual and domestic violence. Created by men, the Walk gives participants the opportunity to get their communities talking about a difficult subject while increasing awareness of the problem, offering opportunities for healing, and demonstrating men’s willingness to walk with women and children as allies, advocates and survivors.
