Neighbors in Need Fund
Over the last several weeks, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in increased cases and widespread closures of businesses, schools, and nonprofits creating increasingly dire economic consequences for local families.
In response, we have launched our United Way Neighbors in Need fund to assist individuals and families in central and northeastern Connecticut with food; emergency assistance; and, childcare. A portion of the funds we raise will also support statewide efforts for food and emergency assistance through the Connecticut United Ways COVID-19 Response Fund, a collaboration among local United Ways. As this pandemic continues to evolve, so too will the needs of our community. Both funds will allow for flexibility in meeting those needs.
At United Way, we are committed to ensuring basic needs are met. We need to work together to achieve that, now more than ever. We can’t do it alone and we can’t do it without you.
Please consider a gift to United Way Neighbors in Need. While the path ahead might feel uncertain, we know that together we will make a difference and support our neighbors. Thank you for your ongoing generosity and support. Stay well.
