American Cancer Society at Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day

Local American Cancer Society (ACS) volunteers will be on site at the Ben and Jerry’s locations in South Windsor and West Hartford on Tuesday, April 9 during the Scoop Shop’s Free Cone Day. For the past 40 years, Ben & Jerry’s has dished out free ice cream to fans, thanking them for being so uniquely awesome. Patrons can support the Society’s mission of saving more lives by donating to the cause at these locations between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Free Cone Day.

Fans can get free scoops from Society volunteers by visiting:

• Ben & Jerry’s of South Windsor, located at The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk, 301 Evergreen Way, South Windsor, CT 06074

(iHeart's very own Renee DiNino will be on site here at 3pm!)

• Ben & Jerry’s of West Hartford, located at 5 ½ South Main Street, West Hartford, CT 06107

• Come check out the Ben & Jerry’s Catering Scoop Truck serving during Free Cone Day 12 (Noon) PM – 5 PM at City Place in Downtown Hartford.

The ACS is the only organization fighting cancer on every front. Funds raised allow the ACS to attack cancer in dozens of ways, each of them critical to achieving a world without cancer – from developing breakthrough therapies and innovative research, to building supportive communities that come together to help those affected by cancer with access to treatment. The ACS provides empowering resources to deploying activists to raise awareness and develop game-changing approaches to address the cancer burden for all people.

"We love getting involved with and giving back to our communities. It’s amazing what we can do together over shared values and several scoops of ice cream," said Kathy Moore, Catering Coordinator Ben & Jerry’s of Canton, Glastonbury, South Windsor, and Old Saybrook.
