As if watching your favorite baseball team win the World Series isn't exiting enough, Jim Aylward Jr. of Massachusetts is $100,000 richer -- and it's all because of the Boston Red Sox.
The elderly fan, who spent a lifetime suffering with the Red Sox until they finally won a championship in 2004, and then three more, played the jersey numbers of his five favorite Sox players in a daily Massachusetts lottery game and won.
Thanks to Rafael Devers (11), Andrew Benintendi (16), Jackie Bradley Jr. (19), Rick Porcello (22) and Steve Pearce (25), Aylward has a lot of extra money to spend on his nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
