Hailey Dawson is continuing her mission last year to throw out the first pitch at every MLB stadium. You’d think that doing the honor at the World Series last would have been enough, but not for the 8-year-old.
Hailey has a robotic hand made from a 3-D printer and she owns it. The girl has Poland Syndrome, which caused her to have missing and undeveloped muscles, leading to her non-functional right hand, and she’s hoping her trek across the country will raise awareness and funds for research.
Despite the disability, Hailey just learned to tied her shoe and does anything else that she can. As far as her goals, the campaign is working. More people know about the disease and are talking about it. And she’s almost done visiting stadiums!
