The city’s first bike-share program began yesterday, with residents at crosswalks and bus stops gawking as LimeBike installed the bright green bikes at locations across Hartford The new fleet of 300 bikes initially will be at hot spots like Statehouse Square and the Bushnell Plaza sculpture garden. To ride, residents must download the Lime app, find one of the GPS- and 3G-enabled bikes, scan the QR code on the back, then enter payment info. The first ride is on Lime; after that, the rate is a dollar for every half hour.
