"Rally for Ryan" Golf Tournament
On Friday, June 15, 2018 the Rally for Ryan Golf Tournament will take place at Hawks Landing Country Club in Southington, CT, to support sixteen-year-old Ryan Catlin. Ryan suffered a severe spinal cord injury in an ATV accident on Saturday, July 29, 2017, while vacationing with his family in Maine. The injury has left him with no movement in his legs and limited arm movement. Despite the prognosis, Ryan is a fighter and has already regained some movement in his arms by undergoing intensive therapy since the injury.
However, there are many overwhelming uncovered costs that his family will incur to ensure the best care for Ryan. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Ryan Catlin Recovery Fund. Gallagher Buick is offering the chance to win a car for a hole-in-one prize on one of the Par 3 holes. The day will culminate with a dinner reception at 6:00pm, entertainment and more raffles.
The tournament will feature an appearance by “Fast” Eddie Fernandes, an American Golf Professional as well as Long Drive Professional and is currently ranked 23rd in the world. Prior to the tournament Eddie will be hosting a long drive clinic. Come see Eddie’s swing, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful and powerful in the world. Not only is he a Southington native, but also went to school with Amy Catlin (Ryan’s Mother). He is excited about the opportunity to help support Ryan and his family.
