Simon Cowell made it official yesterday - Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio will join him and Demi Lovato on the X Factor judging panel.   “It’s taken more than a decade but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!),” said Cowell in a statement. “Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.” Both Kelly and Paulina have previous judging experience. Kelly worked with Cowell on the UK version of X Factor in 2011, while Paulina was a coach on Mexico’s The Voice in 2012. The pair replace L.A. Reid and Britney Spears who left after last season.


Seth MacFarlane definitely won’t be hosting the Oscars next year. The Family Guy creator announced on Twitter yesterday that he won’t be back for a return engagement. "Traumatized critics exhale: I'm unable to do the Oscars again," MacFarlane tweeted. "Tried to make it work schedule-wise, but I need sleep." As for who should take the gig, he joked, “My suggestion for host is Joaquin Phoenix."

Jay-Z has reportedly denied rumors that his wife Beyonce is pregnant with their second child. A New York radio DJ told his listeners yesterday the rapper had emailed their program director to say “the pregnancy rumor is false.”


Ray Manzarek, keyboardist of legendary rock band The Doors, died Monday in Germany after a long battle with bile duct cancer. He was 74. Manzarek, who formed the band in 1965 with Jim Morrison, died at the RoMed Clinic in Rosenheim Germany, with his family by his side. "I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and bandmate Ray Manzarek today," said Doors guitarist Robby Krieger in a statement. "I'm just glad to have been able to have played Doors songs with him for the last decade. Ray was a huge part of my life and I will always miss him."



Khloe Kardashian took to her blog yesterday to defend her sister Kim, who has been the subject of criticism because of her expanding baby belly, and lack of maternity style. “I find it disturbing that society loves to critique a woman’s shape no matter how beautiful or happy she may be within herself,” wrote Khloe, who adds that anyone who dares, “criticize a woman who is growing another life inside of her is true scum in my eyes.” Khloe says her sister is “one of the strongest people I know,” and wonders how she puts up with the abuse. “I commend you for not putting your head down and going into hiding like so many would,” says Khloe. “I wish you could see how you have this pregnant glow and you sparkle everyday! I couldn‘t be prouder to be your sister!!!


Teen Mom Jenelle Evans was back behind bars yesterday, after skipping out on a court appearance. The 21-year-old was supposed to be in a North Carolina yesterday courtroom for a hearing regarding cyber stalking charges brought by her ex-boyfriend Gary Head. When she didn’t turn up, a warrant was issued for her arrest. Jenelle eventually turned herself in and was taken into custody. She then paid $1000 bail and was released.


Looks like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are on good terms again, but their friend Taylor Swift may not be too thrilled about it. Cameras caught Justin and Selena getting close backstage at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday. Justin was seen putting his arm around his on-again/off-again girlfriend and then planting a kiss on her cheek. Well, not long after Taylor walked by and showed her disapproval by sticking her tongue out. Meanwhile, Justin may have been a big winner at the Billboard awards but he didn’t get the audience reaction he expected. As he went up to accept the fan-voted Milestone Award he was booed by the crowd, and sources say it was much louder in the arena than it sounded on TV. In fact, it was so awkward host Tracy Morgan scolded the audience telling them, “Don't be booin' nobody, this ain't Showtime at the Apollo.”


NBC execs treated Ann Curry like crap during the whole Today show debacle, but that’s not stopping them from asking for a favor. Ann has a good relationship with Angelina Jolie, having interviewed her numerous times over the years, so NBC is pressuring Ann to get the first TV interview with Angelina since she revealed she had a double mastectomy. Execs want Ann to exploit her close relationship to convince Angie to talk to them, offering the Oscar winner a two-hour primetime special, along with segments on Today. “Her first television interview will be a ratings bonanza,” said a source. But Ann isn’t willing to abuse her relationship with the actress. “Ann just doesn’t operate that way.”

Zach Galifianakis is certainly an odd personality, but it turns out he’s a really nice guy too. According to the New York Daily News, the actor was expected to take 87-year old Elizabeth “Mimi” Haist as his date to last night’s Los Angeles premiere of The Hangover Part III. Zach has known Mimi for almost twenty years, after meeting her at the laundromat around the corner from his old apartment. About two years ago he discovered she was homeless, so he found her an apartment in Santa Monica and pays her rent and utilities. And his generosity doesn’t end there. Mimi has been a constant guest at Zach’s premieres. He always arranges for a limo to pick her up and take her to the events, even if he doesn’t attend. “If he’s in town, he takes me. Otherwise he lets me take a friend. I dress up nice and a friend helps me with my makeup,” she said. “It’s fun, not something I’ve ever dreamed I’d experience.”

Real Housewives of New York’s Ramona Singer helped catch a nanny who stole jewelry and other items from one of her Park Avenue pals. According to the New York Post, Lucia Hwong Gordon suspected her live-in nanny Raquel Santos had been stealing from her and when she questioned Santos, the nanny admitted she took the items and pawned them. Lucia wasn’t sure she wanted to press charges, but Ramona talked her into it. “Ramona said she needed to speak up before the woman victimized another family,” said a source. Ramona then suggested Lucia offer to buy back the stolen goods, and when Santos showed up with them, cops were there to nab her. “I’m thrilled justice was served,” said Ramona. “My friend showed strength and perseverance.”


Although Jason Sudeikis has not confirmed the rumors that Saturday was his last Saturday Night Live, his co-star may have. Bill Hader and Fred Armisen previously announced this was their last season, and on Sunday, comedian Jay Pharoah seemed to add Sudeikis to that list, tweeting “Hader, Armisen & Sudekis (sic) the talent of those three and just them as people in general will be missed but we will be strong and carry on." Oddly, the tweet was quickly taken down. So far there has been no official word from Sudeikis.


Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was arrested in Florida yesterday for violating his probation from his 2012 domestic violence bust. Johnson appeared in court after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He reportedly failed to report to his probation officer on two occasions and failed to prove he had enrolled in a domestic violence education class. He was immediately taken into custody. Johnson was convicted last year of attacking his now ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.

Although there have been reports that Porsha Williams and Kordell Stewart are faking their divorce for the Real Housewives cameras, it sure sounds like the split is real. According to new court documents filed by Porsha, things are getting so nasty that Kordell has actually changed the locks on their Atlanta family home to keep her out. She’s had her lawyer try to get the key from his people but they won’t budge. They even tried to set up a mediation session, but Kordell said it was a “waste of everyone’s time.” Porsha is trying to get a judge to force Kordell to let her stay at the home, or make him pay for her to stay at a “suitable alternative residence.” Porsha is said to be living with her mother while they try to work things out.

The Tudors’ Jonathan Rhys Meyers is reportedly in talks to join J.J. Abrams’ new Star Wars flick. If the Latino Review report is true, it would make Meyers the first new cast member of the upcoming Star Wars movies. There’s no word on what role he’ll be playing. Meanwhile, the Disney Channel announced yesterday that Star Wars Rebels, an animated series set 19 years after Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, but before Episode IV: A New Hope, is due to premiere in the fall of 2014.

Comedian Sinbad has filed for bankruptcy for the second time since 2009. The 90s comedian, who starred in movies like Houseguest and Jingle All The Way, claims he owes over $10 million, but only has $131,000 in assets. In his Chapter 13 filing, Sinbad says he owes $374,979 to American Express, $32,199 to Bank of America and $2.3 million to the CA Franchise tax board. He also owes $8.3 million to the IRS for taxes from 1998-2006. He claims he only earns $16,000 a month which isn’t enough to pay his bills.
