Renee's Adoptables: Meet Persius!

Meet Persius!

One-year-old Persius is a male American Pitbull/Terrier mix who is looking for a family with bully breed experience. This energetic boy has been with CHS since early January and is ready for a fun adventure into his new home!

The family that Persius is looking for must have a cat and dog-free home. Persius loves attention and will do best in a home where he can be the only pet. He also would love to live with adults! Playful Persius is available in Waterford.

In order to best serve pets in CHS' care and to efficiently serve the community, the Waterford and Westport locations are operating on an appointment-only schedule and adoptions for pets at these locations will begin online via online application.

About CT Humane Society

Way back in 1881, a Hartford High School senior named Gertrude O. Lewis wanted to find a way to help animals of Connecticut. She gathered support in her community – including some of Connecticut’s most prominent citizens of the time – and that very same year, Gertrude founded the Connecticut Humane Society.

And all these years later, the work continues. CHS is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, serving thousands of pets every year. As an independent nonprofit organization, CHS does not receive any funding from the government and is not associated with any national animal welfare groups. The pets rely solely on the generosity and support of donors and volunteers.
