More than 180 baby tortoises were found wrapped in plastic and packed in a suitcase by an official at an airport in the Galapagos Islands over the weekend.The luggage, which was bound for the port city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, was found during an inspection following an X-ray of the suitcase.Officials at the airport said that ten of the tortoises had died.They were estimated to have been at least three months old.The motives for the attempted smuggling were not made immediately clear.

Volkswagen accidentally unveiled the new name for its U.S. operations, which is expected to be changed to Voltswagen of America.The new name puts emphasis on the German automaker's efforts to produce more electric vehicles.A now unpublished press release called the change a "public declaration of the company's future-forward investment in e-mobility."The release said "Voltswagen" will be on all electric models going forward, with gas vehicles having the company's well-known "VW" emblem only.The company declined to comment on the release, which was dated for April 29th, but has since been taken down.
