Age really is just a number when it comes to Rio. This handsome 8 year old Chihuahua mix has plenty of spunk left in him. He packs a lot of energy into his tiny 8 pound body. He is looking for a family to spend his glory years with. Rio is definitely a shy pup when you first me him. He needs time to warm up to you and his new environment before getting cuddly with you. As he warms up to you, he will want to be more active and playful with you.
Rio is a pup that can do well in a home with other dogs and children over the age of 12. It is unknown if he has had a previous home with cats. Rio’s training is in the process. He is working towards becoming house-, crate-, and leash-trained. Given he is a shy pup, he will take a little time to adjust to a new environment. As he does this, there may be accidents. However with patience and care, he will become a well-trained and well-adjusted pup in no time!
