GOOD NEWS: Meet A Very Special Local CT Athlete

Anthony Thibeault of Southington has competed with Special Olympics since he was 16 - over 22 years...and has won over 40 medals!!!

While he competes currently in soccer, golf, and volleyball, he has competed in track & field, bowling, and basketball during his tenure with Special Olympics.  Anthony likes to stay involved in social settings and Special Olympics helps him achieve that. He says "I am excited and thrilled to represent CT. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity - a dream come true! All the coaches, staff, volunteers, partners, and athletes are phenomenal. They are patient and kind to everyone's needs. We're like family."

He's being honored at Fenway Park by the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday June 5th for his accomplishments, and is a proud employee of Stop & Shop in Southington.

In August, Anthony will be traveling to Seattle to play golf for Team CT...wish him luck and please donate to his cause.  He'll also be featured on ESPN TV on July 1st at 3:30pm.
