Auditions for “Our House” by Theresa Rebeck at Hole in the Wall Theater, May 20 and 21
Hole in the Wall Theater will be holding auditions for a production of Our House by Theresa Rebeck. The production will be directed by Ryan Wantroba, produced by Lauren DellaFera, stage managed by Mallory Spencer. The cast will consist of four (4) men and three (3) women.
"Are news and entertainment interchangeable? Our House is a deliciously scathing comedy that takes on a media-obsessed culture intent on turning even the most sobering crisis into sexy entertainment. A darkly comic look at America’s obsession with “reality” television."
The auditions will be held on May 20 and May 21 at 7 pm with potential callbacks on May 22. Auditions will consist of script readings; resumes and headshots welcome but not necessarily required. Cast members are required to attend at least one work call, one general meeting, and the strike for the current HITW show (Comedians) and at the end of Our House.
The production will run July 13 – August 4 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm with one Sunday matinee on July 22 at 2 pm. Tech Sunday will be July 8.
Hole in the Wall Theater is located on 116 Main Street, New Britain, CT. 06050. Parking is available behind the theater and in the parking garage up the street, next door to the New Britain Police Station.
