Tonight in Hartford, CT: A Concert, A Ball Game & Traffic!

Hartford, CT: Important details on tonight's events in the Capital City!

Friday will prove to be a very busy day in Hartford, CT! Expect lots of congestion between 4:30pm and 7pm from all downtown points of entry to the city!  Deputy Chief Brian Foley gives very detailed info on how, where and when to come to the city. He also includes a very important message and stern warning for parents on underage drinking for the nights festivities. OVER 90 officers will be watching and they are ready. DPC Foley also wishes to thank The Xfinity Theatre, Jim Koplik and area hospitals in their fight against underage drinking at shows. This will be heavily enforced.

Parents please follow this suggestion:

DO NOT DROP YOUR KIDS OFF and leave.

If driving your kids to the show, park and walk them in. WATCH THEM GO INTO THE VENUE.

Let officers know you are dropping your kids off, they will try and guide you and help you.

Understand over 24,000 people will be coming in around the same time to Hartford, you will be in traffic.

DPC Foley and I have been doing these interviews all summer long and are committed to preventing underage drinking & driving. Parents, please, this could be a game changer for your child. Listen to the interview here!
